Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CoinSight application and website (the "Service"), provided by Michael Bunch trading as CoinSight ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

CoinSight is a personal finance tool for tracking bills, budgets, and spending insights. Features available to you depend on your plan (Free or Pro).

2. Eligibility & account

You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and, if using on behalf of an organisation, have authority to bind it. You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
  • upload, transmit, or distribute fraud, spam, malware, or harmful content;
  • probe, scan, scrape, or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law;
  • circumvent usage limits, access controls, or paid-tier restrictions.

4. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes within your selected plan.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, content, branding, and documentation, is owned by Michael Bunch and protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted other than those expressly set out in these Terms. You retain ownership of data you enter into the Service and grant us a limited licence to host and process that data solely to provide the Service.

6. Payment, subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). Our order process, payments, subscription management, tax, billing, and refunds are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record. Payment terms, renewals, cancellations, chargebacks, and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. You may cancel anytime from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Merchant of Record notice. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

7. Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

8. Service availability & disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. CoinSight is a budgeting tool and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising out of your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may terminate your account at any time from the Billing page. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data may be deleted after a reasonable period.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Michael Bunch is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

14. Assignment & force majeure

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
